DESCRIPTION:Southside Back in the Day (SSBITD) is back for another year of community fun and upliftment! Join us as we celebrate Southside’s history and present\, reconnect\, and make lasting memories together! SSBITD is a one-day\, multi-faceted community festival held annually on Labor Day weekend at Phelps Park in South Minneapolis.  \nWhat began 17 years ago as a backyard reunion among friends has become a beloved community tradition. Today\, the event brings together over 1\,000 residents\, families\, local businesses\, and organizations for a celebration that blends music\, arts\, food\, sports\, and wellness.  \nThis year’s live entertainment features Jamela Pettiford and Just Being Me Dance Company. Also on tap are the Starlite Band and performances by Se’Anna Johnson and the Royal Red Hat Sabathanettes! Bring family and friends and plan on having a fabulous afternoon!
